English: Sri Pararasa Segara Pillaiyar Kovil is situated in Inuvil, which is around 4 miles from Jaffna town, and along the Inuvil – Manipay road. The temple has a history of over 600 years and had links with the kingdom of Jaffna. The presiding deity in the sanctum sanctorum is the Lord Pararasa Segara Pillaiyar. This temple was built during the 14-15th century by the Jaffna king Pararajasekaran. He had prayed at this temple before going on any mission. This temple is also known as Madaththu Vasal Pillaiyar Kovil. |
