Summary edit

Description Newport Railway remains. Newport Railway remains. A view from Mon Bank housing estate (behind the camera), which is being built on the former Mon Bank (or East Mendalgief) Yard. Macdonalds, Tesco and other stores occupy the former Maesglas Yard on the far side of the main line. The new Cardiff Road bridge is on the right, to the left of which are the abutments of the bridge that carried the tracks from Maesglas Yard to Mon Bank, which then continued towards the camera. The 0754 Bristol TM to Cardiff Central is passing from right to left at 0836 on 30 July 2016.
