English: Benguet, Philippines. 8-9 December 2022. The Australian Government in partnership with the InBest Cap Ventures, through Investing in Women's Impact Investing pathway, supported LiveGreen to expand its organic vegetable trade in major supermarkets in the Philippines and support the launch of its e-commerce platform, Better Basket, to distribute online healthy and environment-friendly food products of small farms and producers, who are mostly owned by women entrepreneurs.In operation since 2009, Livegreen engages in the production, processing, distribution, and retail of organic farm produce. Livegreen is also engaged in developing organic farms, training professional organic growers, and developing qualified farm technicians in the country. A locally certified organic company, Livegreen is also a member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements.Featured photo: Sarah Atting started farming way back in 2009 and has been a partner of Investing in Women for since 2021. She owns three farms in the highlands of Natubleng, Buguias, Benguet, growing various crops such as carrots, marble potatoes, cabbage, wombok, broccoli, and green ice. She has also a newly operated tomato farm in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet. |
