Summary

edit
Description Seniors from Iolani High School visited Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii June 4 to learn about the engineering profession. The idea for the outing is to provide students an overview of NAVFAC Hawaii's engineering expertise and responsibilities as well as to stimulate interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum and build Hawaii's next generation of outstanding talent. The students met with various engineers and ended their visit with a tour of the Joint POW/MIA Headquarters construction site on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
