English: General cargo ship IRAN (IMO 5327817) built at Schiffswerft Ewald Berninghaus, Duisburg, in 1941 as lighter/barge MAZA W 8 for Marine-Artillerie-Zeug-Amt, Wilhelmshaven, from 18-05-1948 till 01-06-1949 converted to coastal motor vessel IRAN for DDG Hansa at Mützelfeldwerft, Cuxhaven (41.5m, 299 GRT, 420 tdw), 05-1955 lengthened at Jadewerft, Wilhelmshaven (48.4m, 524 GRT, 618 tdw), 1960 SILESIA, 1966 RAS BIR, 1987 deleted from the register; collection J. Robert Boman (1926-2002) owned by Sjöhistoriska museet.
