Description
English: Iron letters attached to the east wall of Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church in Wilmington Delaware, which is a National Historical Landmark. The letter go back to the 1698 construction and used to spell in Latin "LUX-L.I. TENEBR ORIENS- EX ALTO" WHICH TRANSLATES TO "Light from on high shines in teh darkness" according to an information sign on-site posted by The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Delaware. 7th and Church Sts.
