Polski: Bryłka osmundu (handlowa postać żelaza w średniowieczu, przeznaczona do dalszej obróbki).Kształt nieregularnej bryłki o porowatej powierzchni. Oryginalnie bryłki osmundu były przewożone w beczkach. Jedna beczka z takim surowcem ważyła według szacunkowych obliczeń około 310 kilogramów. Beczki z osmundem pochodzą z wraka średniowiecznego statku, na którym znajdowały się różnorodne partie ładunku, podniesione w 1975 roku z dna Zatoki Gdańskiej. Wrak nazwano Miedziowcem od znalezionych w jego wnętrzu półfabrykatów hutniczych w postaci wylewek miedzi i oznaczono symbolem W-5.
