Description
日本語: 石底炭礦。宜蘭線三貂嶺驛から分岐して基隆河上流に沿うて溯る事約一三粁で終點菁桐坑驛に達する。臺陽礦業株式會社は此基隆河の發源鑄桐坑に事務所を設け，其の礦區は基隆郡瑞芳庄七星郡平溪庄及文山郡石碇庄に跨り，主要な坑道を平溪石碇兩庄界の分水嶺に開坑してるる。三貂嶺菁桐坑間の支線は元臺陽礦業會社の運炭專用線であつたが，昭和四年に總督府鐵道部に買收されて平溪驛と稱して營業を開始した。沿線の各炭坑の利便は勿論此の地方の產業開發の爲の大きなかさ力となる事であらう。沿線の基隆河の溪谷は地形若く谷深く風景絕佳の所が多い（大江二郎，臺灣總督府礦務課技師）
