Description
English: The town is famous for the products made from roses that are grown in the surrounding country. Shops sell them, on several spots one is reminded of this produce by statues and the like.

The statue shows a ‘Ağa’ (landlord) in early-20th century rural dress, admiring his blooming rose bushes.

Isparta is the world's largest producer of rose oil that made its name supplying rosewater to the Grand Mosque in Mecca. Amongst the other derived products of rose oil, one can mention: cosmetics (perfume, creams, serums, soaps, lotions, shampoo, bubble bath) and sweets (jam, lokum and helva, ice-cream, rose şerbet drink).
