| Description |
English: It looks like elephant skin but it's sand! This strange and complex pattern covered most of the lower part of Cruden Bay Beach over a distance of a mile or so. It is the result, I think, of a strong off-shore wind blowing fine sand from the dunes across the wet beach as the tide receded. |
