Description

Itaewon is a bastardized district just east of the former US Eighth Army Headquarters. Having long catered to the US military, it has always had a very foreign feel. Now, with Seoul being home to more and more foreigners of many different nationalities, Itaewon has also attracted a sizable Muslim population, mostly working-class guest workers, due to the presence of Seoul's main mosque.

There is a Muslim bookstore where I can buy books on Islam in Korean, English, Arabic, and other languages. And there is another travel agency. Travel agencies in this neighborhood are handy for people who need to travel to the home countries of the migrant workers who live here; they can assist with any necessary visa applications as well.
