Description
Norsk bokmål: Baksiden av kortet. Portrett av språkforskaren, språkgrunnleggjaren og diktaren Ivar Aasen (1813-1896). Biletet er teke i 1881 då Aasen var 68 år gammal. Det tok ti år før Ivar Aasen vågde seg til fotografen for andre gong i livet sitt. Det har vore vanleg å samanlikne dei to bileta frå 1881 og 1884. Aasen sjølv kallar dette det "lystige" biletet. Fotografiet frå 1881 var lenge ukjent for ålmenta. Dyre Vaa, som har laga Aasen-minnesmerket i Ørsta, var på jakt etter eit ungdomsbilete av Aasen i samband med arbeidet sitt på 1950-talet. Eit slik bilete fanst sjølvsagt ikkje, men han kom i staden over 1881-biletet, som ingen hadde sett før.
