This book will describe in detail the military life of Iverson Granderson (1863 - 1865) while serving in the Union Navy. It will discuss the ships he served on and battles he fought. Other family members and friends of Granderson mentioned that served in the Union Navy in this book. Other contrabands and runaway slaves from Mississippi and Louisiana who served in the Union Navy will receive honorable mention. Some of these men gave their lives and limbs for African Ameripeans freedom. |
