Summary

Description
English: The name Dönertaş (rotating stone) refers to a column on the corner of this distribution spot for water, a sebil. If the column does not rotate any more it may indicate an earthquake happened. Such a structure is often used in mosques, often on either side of the prayer niche. It dates from 1814.
