Summary edit

Description Sparkly prospecting sample of galena from the undeveloped VMS (Volcanic Massive Sulphide) Izok Lake deposit, Nunavut Territory, Canada. Fist-sized chunk was collected from the 'Discovery Boulder' on an island in Izok Lake. This boulder was reduced into souvenirs over time. It was part of a boulder train which led to geophysical surveys and discovery of the deposit by diamond drilling beneath the waters of Izok Lake. ID tip: galena (lead sulphide) is very heavy and forms cubes or right-angled corners.
