Description
English: The old baptismal (christening) font in Järfälla Church, Järfälla, Stockholm County. The baptismal font is the oldest and most remarkable of the church's resolve equipment. Made of sandstone and placed under the triumphal arch between the chancel and nave. Considered from the late 1100s, around the same time with the church and is the only preserved the oldest church interior. It is made of a stone-mason school which operated around Lake Mälaren to which the stone-mason Semi-Master Byzantios from Gothland deemed to have given origin.
Svenska: Den gamla dopfunten i Järfälla kyrka, Järfälla, Stockholms län.

English: Bowl decor consists of an extremely filigree, forming circles around the stylized animals and bottom of the winged and intertwined dragons. On foot is three monster heads and a ram head. About the baptismal font the Curator Ernst Klein has written: "At that has perhaps even gray-haired, repentant AEsir cult bowed his head and renounced Odin, Thor and Frey."
