Description
English: Pál Joensen is the first Faroese sports person who has won a medal at a World Championship. He took bronze in 1500 m freestyle at the 2012 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m). Jón Bjarnason (to the left on this photo) was his coach until just after the Olympic Games in London 2012. After the Olympics Pál Joensen moved to live in Copenhagen in Denmark, where he continues to swim on high level. This photo was taken in the School of Vágur in Joensen's and Bjarnason's hometown Vágur.
