English: J-type Aircraft Hangar at Former Polebrook Airfield Polebrook airfield was constructed in 1940/41 and turned over to the US 8th Air Force in 1942. The airfield had one J-type hangar shown in the view ahead and two type T2 hangars located in the distance to the right of the hay bales. The latter bales are standing where the main SW-NE runway was located, running left-right in this view. |
