Français : Original caption: " Ces soldats allemands, avec chevaux et chariots, qui traversent Echternach, ville de la région est du Luxembourg, furent parmi les milliers qui entrèrent dans le pays, puis commencèrent à l’occuper au début août 1914. Au cours des quatre années suivantes, quelque 5 000 soldats restèrent stationnés dans tout le pays. Après la signature de l’armistice et la libération du Luxembourg en novembre 1918, des soldats américains franchirent la Sûre à Echternach pour prendre pied en Allemagne. " |
