Description
Deutsch: Deckungsstelle Hurlingham, diese entstanden durch den Bau von konkurrierenden Strecken. Bis Fátima und Manzanares am westlichen Ende des Ballungsraumes von Buenos Aires laufen die Breitspurstrecke der Ferrocarril San Martín und die regelspurige Stammstrecke der Ferrocarril central de Buenos Aires praktisch in Sichtweite parallel. Eine über der Ebene der Unternehmen liegende Planung eines Eisenbahnnetzes hat in Argentinien niemals stattgefunden. Niveaugleiche Kreuzungen entstanden, weil keins der beteiligten Unternehmen die Kosten für ein Kreuzungsbauwerk tragen wollte und man sich auch nicht auf Gemeinschaftsstrecken einigen konnte. Blick Richtung Fátima, die Strecke der Ferrocarril San Martín kommt im Bild links vom Bahnhof Retiro.
