Description
Deutsch: Vom Nordende des Bahnsteigs Leipzig Nord Richtung Norden. Die Gleise bilden hier das nördliche Ende der Tunnelstrecke 6396, sie gehen nach Norden in die Strecke 6411 Richtung Bitterfeld über. Zusätzlich beginnt an den Weichen die Strecke LE/6360. Wegen des verfügbaren und in den Jahren nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg erweiterten Lichtraumprofils ist die Strecke bis zur Abzw Heiterblick eingleisig. Nach dem Neubau des ohnehin erneuerungsbedürftigen Kreuzungsbauwerkes Mockau soll der Abschnitt bis zum zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt im Bau befindlichen Hp Mockauer Straße wieder zweigleisig werden, womit einer der Zwangspunkte im Leipziger S-Bahn-Netz entschärft werden soll.
Rechts liegen die Gleise der Strecken 6411 und 5919, die vierteilige Einheit der Reihe 1442 kommt von Halle und fährt auf der Linie S5 nach Zwickau.
