Description
Deutsch: Richtung Silberhöhe und Bahnhof Halle (Saale) Hbf, der Bahnhof Halle Südstadt ging mit der S-Bahn-Strecke 6051 Abzw Wörmlitz – Abzw Sa am 1. Mai 1979 in Betrieb. Die Stammstrecke 6343 verläuft etwa 40 Meter rechts in einem Einschnitt. Wegen der hohen Streckenbelastung hielt man zusätzliche S-Bahn-Haltepunkte an dieser für nicht vertretbar, außerdem verbesserte sich durch die besondere S-Bahn-Strecke insbesondere am Bahnhof Südstadt die Zugangssituation. Warum man an dieser Stelle jedoch keinen für den S-Bahn-Dienst deutlich besser geeigneten Inselbahnsteig baute, wird wohl ein Geheimnis der Planer bleiben. Bis zum folgenden Hp Silberhöhe ist das Planum beim Bau für einen zweigleisigen Betrieb vorbereitet worden, doch der geplante Zehnminutentakt war 1990 sehr schnell vom Tisch und der Weiterbau damit gegenstandslos.
