Description
Deutsch: In der Collegienstraße auf der Ostseite der Leucorea, das Haus war das Wohnhaus von Philipp Melanchthon und seiner Familie. Der Kurfürst Johann Friedrich, der Großmütige ließ es 1536 bauen, um Melanchthon als Professor in Wittenberg zu halten. Das markante Renaissancegebäude ist schon seit 1810 Museum, seit 1954 Heimatmuseum, in dem 1967 eine Melanchthonausstellung eingerichtet wurde. Mit dem Lutherjubiläum 1983 wurde es zum Gegenstück zur Lutherhalle. Die bisher letzte Umgestaltung erfolgte zwischen 1995 und 1997.
