The Rear Crewman can be seen leaning out of the aircraft to give commands to the pilot.The static hook visible is used to discharge any build-up of static electricity from the helicopter by earthing it, before the load can be hooked up.6 Regiment, Army Air Corps (6 AAC) conduct Under Slung Load (USL) training with Wildcat Helicopter.Soldiers and Officers from the Sixth Regiment of the Army Air Corps, assisted by a Wildcat helicopter from the Aviation Reconnaissance Force (ARF), based in Yeovilton conducts Under Slung Load (USL) training as part of a Regimental Training Weekend at the Army Aviation Centre, in Middle Wallop.6 Regiment Army Air Corps is the sole Army Reserve regiment of the British Army Air Corps (AAC). The regiment operates in a groundcrew role, providing support to Army Aviation units of the Joint Helicopter Command. |
