Die Fotografie ist zwar mit „Wilhelm Hornung“ signiert, doch Wilhelm Hornung starb im Juli 1884. Das Datum auf dem Foto (aber auch die Technik) zeugen davon, dass die Aufnahme tatsächlich nach dem Tod von Wilhelm Hornung entstand. Es ist bekannt, dass sein Sohn Julius Wilhelm Hornung in den ersten Jahren seiner selbständigen Tätigkeit mit dem Namen seines Vaters signierte. |
