English: Mural monument in Teigngrace Church, Devon, to Jane Shubrick, formerly Mrs John Line, wife of Rev. John Templer (1751-1832) of Lindridge, Devon, 2nd son of James I Templer (1722–1782) of Stover House, Teigngrace. Inscribed: "This tablet is erected to the beloved memory of Mrs Jane Templer, wife of John Templer A.M. Rector of this parish. She died June 20th 1813 aged 62 years. Ever to be regretted whilst virtue, piety and benevolence are esteemed by Mankind. For many years she bore a painful disorder with patient resignation and fortitude which nothing could have inspired but the piety of her whole life and the firm hope of being rewarded in Heaven for the exercise of so much goodness here in Earth" |
