Le musée Oscar Roty (maison à droite).

Louis Oscar Roty était un graveur, né à Paris le 11 juin 1846 et mort à Paris le 23 mars 1911.

Il est connu pour "la Semeuse", utilisée sur les pièces de monnaie françaises et sur les timbres postaux.

La Semeuse est au départ un projet pour le ministère de l'agriculture. Pour sa gravure, Oscar Roty s'est servi comme modèle d'une jeune italienne de 15 ans nommée Rosalinda Pesce. Le modèle recevra en paiement une pièce de cent sous.

Le musée Oscar Roty et la maison à gauche formaient autrefois le palais épiscopal. Les deux grandes fenêtres du premier étage avaient autrefois des meneaux*.

Louis Oscar Roty was an engraver, born in Paris June 11, 1846 and died in Paris March 23, 1911.

It is known for "la Semeuse" used on French coins and postage stamps.

La Semeuse is initially a project for the Ministry of Agriculture. For this etching, Oscar Roty used as a model of a young Italian, 15 years old, named Rosalinda Pesce. The model will receive a payment in coin of low value.

Oscar Roty museum and the house left once formed the Episcopal Palace. The two large windows on the first floor had once mullions *.
