Română: JazzyBIT este un trio format din Teodor Pop (pian, claviaturi), Mihai Moldoveanu (bas) și Szabó Csongor-Zsolt (tobe), ce activează din 2012 și oferă o combinație energică de jazz și rock, presărată pe alocuri cu blues, latin și funk. Grupul își descrie stilul ca fiind “loud jazz”. Sună ca și cum Hiromi ar cânta cu Snarky Puppy, dar în trio. All About Jazz compară JazzyBIT cu Esbjörn Svensson Trio: “JazzyBIT amintește de Esbjörn Svensson Trio, dar adaugă o atitudine rock armoniilor vibrante presărate cu melodii vioaie. De asemenea, se evidențiază prin ritmurile funky, strânsa legătură artistică între cei trei, dar și aranjamentele muzicale remarcabile.”. În 2014 trupa lansează albumul de debut “Touch the Sky“, urmat de albumul “Horizon” în 2016.
După ce câștigă premiul pentru debut pe 2013 al Fundației Muzza din București, JazzyBIT ajunge în finala competiției European Jazz Award din cadrul festivalului Tuscia in Jazz în 2014, câștigă trofeul Timișoara Jazz Award pentru grupul anului în 2016, iar în 2017 toți membrii grupului primesc trofeul Banat Jazz Award pentru muzicienii anului, ultimele două fiind acordate de către Fundația Culturală Jazz Banat. Trupa desfășoară o bogată activitate concertistică, numărând aproape 200 de concerte în primii 6 ani de activitate. Până în prezent, JazzyBIT a concertat în 9 țări, pe 2 continente, participând la câteva dintre cele mai mari festivaluri de jazz din lume (Jarasum International Jazz Festival în Coreea de Sud, Vilnius Mama Jazz Festival în Lituania sau Belgrade Jazz Festival în Serbia), dar și în câteva dintre cele mai renumite cluburi de jazz din Europa (Reduta Jazz Club în Praga, Sunset Sunside în Paris, sau Budapest Jazz Club). Pe lângă circuitul jazz, trupa a cântat și în cadrul unor festivaluri cu muzică de mai multe genuri, precum festivalul Sziget din Ungaria, Exit din Serbia sau Untold din România, dar și în cadrul unor cluburi cunoscute din circuitul european, precum A38 din Budapesta sau Control din București. Alături de grupul de folclor contemporan Subcarpați, JazzyBIT lansează în 2017 proiectul Subcarpați x JazzyBIT / SUBJazz, o contopire a muzicii celor două grupuri. Teodor Pop s-a îndrăgostit de pian la vârsta fragedă de 4 ani și a studiat muzica clasică până la 14 ani, când a urmat cursurile de jazz din cadrul Școlii Populare de Arte Francisc Hubic din Oradea. În 2001 obține un certificat de acreditare în jazz, în urma unui examen final perfect. Un an mai târziu se mută la Timișoara, unde continuă să cânte jazz și blues în mai multe proiecte. În 2004 a câștigat premiul pentru cel mai bun pianist în cadrul concursului memorial Iuliu Merca din Cluj-Napoca. Teodor este artist Nord Keyboards. Mihai Moldoveanu a început să cânte la bas în liceu și este autodidact. Cu un background rock și învățând jazz din mers, Mihai este interesat de mai multe stiluri de muzică și artă. Pe lângă JazzyBIT, Mihai mai cântă și cu Amalia Gaiță și Sunset in the 12th House, fiind totodată inițiatorul evenimentului de muzică improvizată Paperjam. Mihai are un trecut muzical foarte divers, abordând aproape orice gen, de la muzică electronică la black metal. Pentru mai multe informații despre Mihai, vă rugăm vizitați mihaimoldoveanu.ro Szabó Csongor-Zsolt a absolvit Liceul de Muzică Sigismund Toduţă din Cluj-Napoca și secția de Percuție a Facultății de Muzică din cadrul Universității de Vest Timișoara. Este profesor de tobe încă de la vârsta de 16 ani și are la activ peste 600 de concerte. În 2010 este laureat cu premiul pentru cel mai bun instrumentist în cadrul concursului MAMF din Köröstarcsa, Ungaria. After winning the 2013 Newcomer Award by the Muzza Foundation Bucharest, JazzyBIT got to be finalists in the European Jazz Award competition of the Tuscia in Jazz festival in 2014. Moreover, they won the Timișoara Jazz Award for the Group of the Year in 2016, and in 2017 all members of the group received the Banat Jazz Award for the Musicians of the Year, the latter two awarded on behalf of the Jazz Banat Cultural Foundation. The band has a flourishing live activity, counting almost 200 concerts in its first 6 years of existence. Until now, JazzyBIT has played in 9 countries, on 2 continents, participating in some of the world’s biggest jazz festivals (Jarasum International Jazz Festival in South Korea, Vilnius Mama Jazz Festival in Lithuania or Belgrade Jazz Festival in Serbia). In addition, they have played in some of the most famous jazz clubs in Europe (Reduta Jazz Club in Prague, Sunset Sunside in Paris, or Budapest Jazz Club). Besides the jazz circuit, the band also played at some multi-genre festivals, such as the Sziget Festival in Hungary, the Exit Festival in Serbia or the Untold Festival in Romania, but also in some well-known clubs from the European circuit, like the A38 in Budapest or the Control in Bucharest. Alongside the contemporary folklore group Subcarpați, JazzyBIT launches the Subcarpați x JazzyBIT / SUBJazz project, a merge of the music of the two groups, in 2017. Teodor Pop fell in love with the piano at the early age of 4 and studied classical music until 14, when he joined the jazz classes of the Francisc Hubic Popular Art School from Oradea. In 2001, he was awarded a Certificate in Jazz, with a perfect final exam. One year later, he moved to Timișoara, where he continues to play jazz and blues in several projects.
