Français : "A comparer avec l'original de Petitot (Inv. 35687) et avec le portrait présumé de la princesse Palatine, du même artiste (Inv. 35665). Hans Boeckh reconnaît le portrait d'Anne-Marie-Louise d'Orléans (1627-1693), duchesse de Montpensier, dite la Grande Mademoiselle. l'auteur précise : copie d'après Jean I Petitot, par Jean-François Soiron, d'origine genevoise qui travaillait à la fois à la gouache et sur émail et s'était établi dès 1800 à Paris. L'indication peinte sur le contre-émail : 'Madame Grignan / d'après Petitot / par Soiron père' confirme bien que Soiron s'est inspiré de la version du portrait de Jean I Petitot qui se trouvait alors déjà au Louvre (cf. RF 35688) (La collection des miniatures émaillées du Louvre : nouvelles identifications. Seconde partie : après 1644, La Revue des Musées de France, Musée du Louvre, 2018, n° 4, p. 58-69, fig. 15, cité p. 62 à 64)." [1]
