On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the LBJ Presidential Library and the Briscoe Center for American History held “An Evening with Doris Kearns Goodwin and Don Carleton.” Doris Kearns Goodwin is a renowned presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning, New York Times #1 best-selling author. Don Carleton is the executive director of the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History and J. R. Parten Chair in the Archives of American History at the University of Texas at Austin. The program celebrated the Briscoe Center’s recent acquisition of the papers of Richard Goodwin and Doris Kearns Goodwin and was moderated by Mark Lawrence, director of the LBJ Library.
