Description
English: As seen in April 2022, this "ghost sign" on Main Street in Niagara Falls marks the onetime flagship location of Jenss, a small local chain of high-end department stores that, at its height, boasted about a half-dozen locations in Erie and Niagara Counties. The Niagara Falls store opened in 1916, was supplanted as the chain's flagship with the inauguration of the Boulevard Mall location in 1962, and closed in 1995, five years before the chain as a whole went defunct.
