English: Intense Tropical Cyclone Joaninha over the south-western Indian Ocean on 27 March 2019, approximately 330 km east of the Mauritian island of Rodrigues (visible as the small green dot on the left of the cyclone). At the time the image was captured, the cyclone was just below peak intensity, with a ten-minute sustained wind speed of 175 km/h (110 mph), and a one-minute sustained wind speed of 205 km/h (125 mph). |
