Notes Según el catálogo del Museo Histórico Nacional de Chile con sede en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile este cuadro tiene autoría anónima que data de finales del siglo XVIII pero es copia fiel de un original que pertenece desde 1934 a los señores Alberto y Roberto Ossandón Guzmán. Este retrato es un juego de arte patrimonial que comprende tanto la figura del Duque de San Carlos como también la de su esposa la también Duquesa de San Carlos. Ambos retratos son un legado del Museo Histórico Nacional de Chile desde 1934 por parte de Miguel Jaraquemada Ugarte. Los protagonistas en vida fueron los únicos criollos en ostentar un titulo de la nobleza castellana con categoría de grandeza de España.
