Description
English: Senators Chris Dodd and Joe Lieberman, both D-Conn., discussed their latest efforts to alleviate the continuing problem of the high cost of home heating oil. Heating oil suppliers and community fuel bank representatives will also be on hnad to provide the most up-to-date information on the crisis.

One week before, the Senators introduced the Heating Oil Price Stability Act, legislation to help stabilize the supply and help lower the cost of heating oil through the creation of a regional heating oil reserve for the northeastern United States.

Also involved in the discussion were Charles Isenberg of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association, Sam Livieri of West Haven's Apple Fuel, John Santa of Bridgeport's Santa Fuel, and representatives from the Community Fuel Bank.
