Description
Caroline Schelling wurde 1763 als Tochter eines Göttinger Professors geboren. In zweiter Ehe heiratete sie 1796 August Wilhelm Schlegel, einen der Protagonisten des Jenaer Romantikerkreises, den sie bei der Übersetzung der Werke Shakespeares unterstützte. Nach der Scheidung von Schlegel heiratete sie 1803 den Philosophen Friedrich Schelling. Sechs Jahre später starb Caroline Schelling in Maulbronn.[1]
