DescriptionJohn Lockwood Kipling (1837-1911) - Mowgli Attacking Shere Khan (c1907) (22214139511).png |
Vintage photo of a terracotta bas-relief by John Lockwood Kipling, father of Rudyard. I believe the original is in Kipling's former home, Bateman's. The tiger Shere Khan has gained too much influence over the young wolves and tricked them into betraying their leader Akela. Mowgli decides to set thngs straight by attacking the tiger with Man's weapon, the "red flower". |
