Description
English: John PINNEGAR. Private 10302, 18th Hussars, Private 32970 16 Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Born 1895, baptised 14 April 1895 at St Andrew's Church Cromhall, Gloucestershire to Florence, spinster, daughter of William and Elizabeth of Cromhall, Gloucestershire. His mother was married 2 December 1899 to Edwin Thomas Cossons at St Marks Church, Bristol. 1901 residing with his mother and stepfather at Brickyard, Wotton-under-Edge. 1911 Residing with his mother Florence Hanna and stepfather Edwin Thomas Cossons at Wortley Road, Wotton-under-Edge, occupation, house painter. 19 April 1919 he married Doris Emily Wheeler at Saint Mary the Virgin, Wotton-under-Edge, aged 25, occupation, painter.

Enlisted 04 July 1913 wounded in action, discharged from the Royal Warwickshire Regiment 31 May 1918 aged 23. Awarded the Silver War Badge 18 May 1918 at the regimental depot.

Died at Bradley, Street, Wotton-under-Edge 14th laid to rest 17th October 1931, age 36. At rest in grave 139, Wotton-under-Edge Cemetery, Gloucestershire. Wooden Grave Marker. Location. As you enter the cemetery you will several wooden grave markers on the right. He is one of them. Wills and Admin, Ancestry.
