Jordan Kerak Panorama
Summary
editDescriptionJordan Kerak Castle 2518 panorama.jpg |
English: To the left we see the lower western side, with at the farther end the museum. Higher to the right are the western towers of the central part. Higher again we see, in the distance, the northern outer walls. A bit nearer the remains of the church, on the left side having all walls, to the right only the northern wall remains. Much closer to us, from there, we see the area of the palace. It was underground (or has been covered, I don’t know) and we see two walls of its - open to the air -reception room. Farthest to the right the walls go down steeply, with below them, out of sight, the glacis.
Computer generated picture of the top of the castle, as seen from the northernmost part, a later built palace and donjon. |
