According to the Gospel of John, scripture indicates that Jesus was baptised very close to this part of the "Jordan river". Of the four Gospel writers, John was the only one present when Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist.

In the king James version of the Bible "Bethavara" was where Jesus was baptised. Archaeologists agree that the city of Bethavara is located somewhere between the sea of Galilee and Beit Shean. A few meters from this spot is a "tel" which many believe to be Bethavara.

Also the "time factor" clearly shows that this event happened over a three day period of time. Read in the Gospel of John K.J.V. 1:28, 1:35, 1:43 and 2:1. The Church of the Twelve Apostels which tradition and tourist maps claim to be the place where Jesus was baptised, is a 5-6 day walk to Cana of Galilee. Finally, Simon, Peter, Andrew and Philip were from Beitsaida, north of the Sea of Galilee. The time factor must fit the scriptures!

It doesn't matter where we are baptised, but the exhortation of being baptised close to where our Lord was baptised is indescribable. If you are being baptised here today have faith in the operation of God that the Holy Spirit will perform within you, be buried with Him in baptised. Wherein akso you are risen with Him in the newness of life. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you.

Согласно Евангелию от Иоанна, Писание указывает, что Иисус крестился где-то рядом, в этой части реки Иордан. Из четырёх евангелистов только Иоанн указывает, где Иисус принял крещение у Иоанна Крестителя.

В Библии короля Иакова местом крещения Иисуса названа Вифавара. Археологи сходятся в том, что город Вифавара расположен где-то между Галилейским морем и Бейт-Шином. В нескольких метрах от этой точки есть телль, многие считают, что это Вифавара.

Фактор времени также ясно показывает, что это событие произошло в течение трёх дней (Евангелие от Иоанна 1:28, 1:35, 1:43 and 2:1). Церковь Двенадцати Апостолов, которую традиция и туристические карты считают местом крещения Иисуса, находится в 5-6 днях пути от Каны Галилейской. Наконец, Симон, Андрей и Филипп были родом из Вифсаиды на севере Галилейского моря. Фактор времени должен соответствовать Писаниям!

Не имеет значения, где Вы крестились. Но впечатление от крещения там, где крестился наш Господь, неописуемо.
