Čeština: Dne 15. října 1928 v litevském městě Kaunas první prezident Litevské republiky Antanas Smetona uděli za výjmečné zásluhy Litvě majoru generálního štábu Josefu Churavému řád Litevského Velkokněze Gediminase čtvrtého stupně. Plukovník Josef CHURAVÝ (brigádní generál in memoriam) byl v letech 1939 - 1942 jedním z důležitých představitelů vojenské ilegální odbojové organizace „Obrana národa“.
English: First president of the Republic of Lithuania Antanas Smetona gave Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas of fourth degree. It was on October 15, 1928 in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas. The man who was honored was Czech Major of General Staff Mr. Josef Churavý. The reason: Exceptional Merits for Lithuania. Colonel Josef CHURAVY (Brigadier General in memoriam) was in period 1939 - 1942 Representative of military resistance organization "Defending the nation".
