English: Judge Joseph Day was the son of John Day (1786-1838) & Fereby Bulloch, daughter of Richard Bulloch. Judge Day was the grandson of Stephen Day, RS, & Margaret "Peggy" Jones.
Judge Joseph Day married Jane Jincy Dunn on March 17, 1811 in Columbia Co., GA & remained married to her until her death on April 7, 1857. They were married for 46 years and had at least three children: Rebeccah Margaret Day, Alanson Asberry "A.A." Day, and Sarah Day. After the death of his first wife, Judge Day married Mary Ann Hampton and they had two daughters: Mary Jo and Elizabeth Jane Day. |
