Description

Joseph Robson was convicted of stealing a bird cage on 24 February 1873 and was given a 6 month sentence. He had three previous convictions during the period 1870-1871, including a three month sentence for stealing a gun.

These photographs are of convicted criminals in Newcastle between 1871 - 1873.
