Description Home of Joseph S. Winter in Montgomery, Alabama. It was designed for Winter in 1851 by Samuel Sloan and completed a few years later. It was mentioned by Sloan in his The Model Architect. It was later destroyed. Sloan is believed to have also designed Winter's next home in Montgomery, Winter Place.
