| Description |
English: Joy Mittir Kalibari is an old temple, located in Kuthighat, West Bengal. Lore says that the design of Dakshineswar temple was inspired by this temple. When Rani Rashmani was travelling by boat, she noticed the temple and later she built the Dakshineswar temple in similar way.
People also say that the idol of the goddess of that temple has a history. They say, while making idol for Dakshineswar temple, artist made a bigger & a smaller idol than expected size, the third one was selected as the final one for Dakshineswar temple & one of the previous idols were shifted and placed in Joy Mittir Kalibari.
বাংলা: জয় মিত্তির কালীবাড়ি হল কুঠিঘাটের (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ) কাছে একটি প্রাচীন মন্দির। বলা হয়, দক্ষিণেশ্বরের মন্দিরটি, এই মন্দিরের আদলে গড়া। রাণি রাসমণি যখন নৌকায় যাত্রা করছিলেন তখন এই মন্দিরটি তাঁর নজরে আসে এবং পরবর্তীকালে তিনি এই মন্দিরটির আদলে দক্ষিণেশ্বরের মন্দিরটি নির্মাণ করেন।
শোনা যায়, দক্ষিণেশ্বরের প্রতিমা তৈরির সময় নির্মাতা তিনটি মূর্তি নির্মাণ করেন। কিন্তু ধার্য আকারের চেয়ে একটি মূর্তি আকারে বড়, একটি মূর্তি আকারে ছোট হয়, তৃতীয় ও শেষ মূর্তিটি দক্ষিণেশ্বরে স্থাপন করা হয় এবং প্রথম দুই মূর্তির একটি জয় মিত্তির কালীবাড়িতে প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়। |
