Description The wreckage of a German Junkers Ju 52/3m transport (C3+OH) of the Transport Squadron of the 2nd Air Corps, destroyed on Gabes airfield, Tunisia. In the background is a convoy of RAF transports moving in to occupy the airfield. The photograph was taken the day after the airfield was captured at the end of March 1943.
