Description
Português: Juazeiro do Norte, Sul do Ceará, ontem. Com clima semi-árido, a região teve um pouco de chuva recentemente, o que explica o verde claro das áreas de agricultura, apesar de em estado de seca moderada em Maio, segundo a ANA (Agência Nacional de Águas). Área urbana em salpicado alaranjado nas áreas residenciais, e branco em áreas centrais com edifícios ou áreas industriais. Em verde escuro, caatinga. Na parte de baixo da imagem, a faixa laranja é o canal adutor em construção, no Trecho I do Projeto Cinturão de Águas do Ceará (CAC), parte do Projeto de Transposição de Águas do Rio São Francisco para o Nordeste Setentrional / Juazeiro do Norte, Southern Ceará, yesterday. With semi arid climate, region had some rains recently, explaining the light green color in agriculture areas, though being at moderate drought state in May, according to ANA (National Water Agency). Urban areas appears in orangeish saltpepper at residential areas, an whiteish in downtown and industrial areas, due to large concrete buildings. Orange line, at image bottom, is a large water channel, under construction, of Ceará´s Water Belt Project, part of São Francisco River Diversion Project.
