Description
English: Judd Wall on Beacon Hill. Judd Walls, constructed of low quality stone as a particular feature of the practice of the Delvers (stone quarrymen) of the area surrounding the Shibden Valley. They were constructed to retain spoil from the quarry, often enabling flat land to be created in an area where it is in short supply. This is substantial example close to the summit of Beacon Hill.
