English: The Kühloch located in Saalfelden (Salzburg (state), Austria is a natural formation of local importance. The cave is located on the northeastern outskirts of Saalfelden basin near the hermitage on Palfen. At the base of a cliff opens a wide, approximately semicircular cave door. An approximately eight-meter wide spacious hall runs about 20 meters deep into the mountain. 1949 a small test cut was performed and thereby salvaged Bronze Age pottery. These findings prove that humans have occasionally sought in the Bronze Age in caves or under rock roofs shelter. |
