English: East entrance, Left Dvarapalaka (gatekeeper), Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu, Karnataka, India. Intricate work of Hoysala architecture seen. Of the two shrines for Hoysaleswara and Shantaleswara, this is the entrance for the bigger Shivalaya, Hoysaleswara. The detail work on a single piece of stone includes the arch behind the gatekeeper, the crown, the curls of hair, bells and chain, two assistants, detail work of jewellery and dresses, anklets, toe-rings, etc.
