Description
English: A KC-10 Extender is seen through an American flag at the entrance of a hangar, prior to a retirement ceremony at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Aug. 6, 2015. The KC-10 is an air-to-air refueling tanker that can also be used for cargo and passenger transport. This week, Northrop Grumman delivered the 150th KC-10 from a maintenance depot to the Air Force. In a company news release, a spokesman stated the "aircraft was accepted with zero defects, further contributing to the company's proven track record for helping the Air Force achieve the KC-10's highest fleet mission capable rates in more than 16 years."
